Permissions...

I've been editing permission tonight and run into some errors from when checking with the 'Online YAML Parser', and I do not know what I need to do to correct these errors.

Would someone be able to check it in the 'Online YAML Parser' and tell me how to change the errors? Many Thanks :)

I looked into this and can't seem to find a problem real quick, but will ask my friend, he is a real permissions expert, maybe he can see what's wrong there.

Thank you, I'm only asking because errors came up when checking it online and I wasn't sure if they were Plugin breaking or how to fix them.

remove line 5 and 9 and you'll be fine.

The Owner group has already '*' and you cant have everything twice , that's why you've got an error

OK, but does this result in an error when you check the yml file? I mean * will be redundant after you use it twice, as with any permission node, but there still is an error that is not directly permission related, according to the online yaml checker.

Yeah, I still get an error with the online YAML checker even after removing the above things. (Sorry for the late reply, was in Liverpool all weekend)

I still don't find it either, will ask saturnine again, sorry for my late reply because I have been real busy myself too.

You can however look at my other answer about permissions, just posted that a minute ago, maybe you will run into an idea that will solve the error after all.

Excellent thank you! I just had a look and I will install permission with my config at a low level tonight, and see if it works okay.

I've installed it and it is all working fine. However, with the prefix and suffix entities in which do I place the colour code and in which do I place the name that I want them to have before their name?

Prefix is in front of the name, suffix is behind the name, but you need to have a compatible chat client in order to use this.

Okay, where do I place the colour code? So If I put 'Owner' in prefix it would be placed before the persons name, where do i place the colour code in order to make it be red for example?

Again sorry for the late delay, but I am having some problems with my arm and I try to avoid typing as much as possible, even when I have to type alot on my own server, but there is currently nobody there, so I can do some work I have left on this forum.

Now to your question I think it should be before Owner, I never used this and probably will never do, so I am not sure what color code to use, either the &Red or &4 in case permissions works with hex values, I will post a little graphic here, I found on the internet that may help you with the various color codes in HEX values.

Thanks for all your help, but I've run into a major problem with permissions and it's config/relationship with iChat. I'm contacting someone who said they'd be able to one-to-one help me with it, but again thank you for all your help. I hope your hope gets better :)
